The objective of this dialogue is in parallel to the sharing of experiences and further discussion, a concrete development of project proposals in the area of Biogas production from organic waste and agricultural residues in Germany and India. Through many exploratory and research visits to the partner institutes in Indian companies, submission of common project applications for funding, it has come out clearly that there are dissimilarities in the way activities are understood on both sides as following:
Definition of the goal and project development
Proposal submission and project implementation
Operation of the appliances and technology
Coordination of the project.
These dissimilarities could be due to the differences in the way institutions are working in both countries (state/private funded) and also due to the goals set by the sponsoring organizations. Apart from subject discussions and development of project proposals, below listed activities planned to take close look at the country specific obligations and bringing clarifications to both sides:
Workshop - Discussion Forum
All the invited partners from India (CLRI, TNAU, VIT) have experience and expertise in the innovative approaches in the area " Biogas production from organic waste and agricultural residues in Germany and India". Goal and expected outcome of this workshop will be the identification of opportunities in the R&D cooperation, concrete joint project proposals based on BMBF 2+2 model and other funding instruments. With various discussions with partners from India, there is clear interest on both sides for joint cooperation and agreements are signed in the form of MoU with VIT and process is on to sign the same with CLRI and TNAU. From German side, interested firms are joining the discussions during the workshop.
