During the last 2 years, the editorial board and the participating authors have thoroughly committed themselves to the preparation of this book. Thanks to the active support of the Vulkan Publishing House, this new edition could be presented at the very end of last year. This 2nd edition is a comprehensive revision and further development of the 1st edition, which was published more than 25 years ago.
