Equipment and Test Methods

The institute's equipment includes the chemical-biological laboratory, a workshop, numerous test facilities on a laboratory and semi-technical scale, and a test facility on the grounds of the Hannover-Herrenhausen wastewater treatment plant. A mobile measuring station, transportable test containers as well as three passenger cars enable measurements, pilot operation, sampling and consulting directly on site.

This equipment is available for the practice-oriented processing of research projects, external contracts and reports as well as the implementation of laboratory internships during courses.

Test Methods

within the scope of small orders, we take over the scientific consultation and operational support for municipal and industrial sewage treatment or biogas plants. Our offer includes the execution of measurement campaigns, special analysis, data evaluation, concept development and comparison of variants for new construction and reconstruction as well as determination of operating settings and control concepts. In addition, we provide expert opinions in the fields of wastewater technology, small sewage treatment plants, waste management, water quality, and drinking water protection.
Our analytical services include, among others, chemical-physical wastewater and sludge analyses and biological activity tests.
