Cycling tour WAS(S)ERfahren on 22.03.2021

On the occasion of the World Water Day on the topic "Valuing Water" - "Wert des Wassers"

This unguided* bike tour is designed to allow you to find out more about the blue-green infrastructure (BGI) in urban areas and to broaden your view of "water in the city".

On the informative bicycle tour, stops will be made at various points of sanitary and water management interest. Blue-green infrastructures such as green facades and urban gardening, as well as hydraulic structures, will be visited. The topic of wastewater is not neglected on this tour either, so that you can look at the reconstruction of the Herrenhausen sewage treatment plant.

Depending on the chosen route, the length of the tour is between 16 and 25 km (partly unpaved roads are possible).

Target group: Adults

Contact person: Jessica Gerstendörfer (gerstendoerfer@isah.uni-hannover.de)

*You will be provided with a PDF on the TransMiT Homepage, which you can use to ride the tour on your own. Via the PDF you will be provided with 3 route suggestions as well as videos, texts, and pictures. So, you also can inform yourself about the respective stations without riding the tour. The file remains available even after the day of the water.
