Prof. Rosenwinkel receives Willy Hager Medal 2019

Prof. Karl-Heinz Rosenwinkel was awarded the Willy Hager Medal

on Friday, June 28, 2019. The Willy Hager Medal is awarded every three years to those, who have rendered outstanding services to scientific research into the principles and processes of water and wastewater treatment. Prof. Rosenwinkel receives the Willy Hager Medal in recognition of his achievements in the research and further development of scientific principles and their application in processes of municipal and industrial water management, water circulation and resource recovery. His ability to incorporate the scientific findings into academia, further and advanced training and regulatory work is particularly praised. The commemorative publication published on the occasion of his retirement in March 2018 can be purchased in the secretary office of ISAH (vorzimmer@isah.uni-hannover.de).

The previous winners of the Willy Hager Medal can be found at willy-hager-stiftung.de/preise/willy-hager-medaille/ . After Prof. Seyfried (2007), Prof. Rosenwinkel is the second ISAH professor to receive this special award. Prof. Rosenwinkel is currently the only one to receive both the

William Dunbar Medal of the European Water Association (EWA) and the Willy Hager Medal of DECHEMA.
