On 12.6.2019 the second Water Management Colloquium of the ISAH in the winter semester 2019/20 will take place, focusing on waste management.
The topic of this year''s waste management colloquium is "Landfill leachate". The leachate of a waste treatment plant usually contains high concentrations of pollutants, including organic substances, heavy metals, nitrogen (Amt für Abfall, Wasser, Energie und Luft, 2010). Especially high precipitation levels can cause leachate production to increase (Bayerisches Landesamt für Umwelt, 2015). Good landfill leachate management is important to protect our natural environmental resources.
In this colloquium, several experts will present different aspects of the topic, which will be discussed afterwards.
The event is public and can be attended without prior registration. However, the number of seats is limited. You can find the program and a detailed description of how to get there here.
